Michal LaRae Pozorski, 69
Michal LaRae Pozorski, of Summit Lake, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at home. She was 69 years old. She was born on January 27, 1945 in Milwaukee, a daughter of John and Janet (vonGnechten) Obermann. She married George Pozorski on July 13, 1963 in Tomahawk. He survives.
She was a graduate of Tomahawk High School with the class of 1963.
Mrs. Pozorski raised her family in the Wausau area and over the years she was employed at Farm and Home Hardware in Schofield, cleaned at privateresidences, and cooked at Colonial Manor in Wausau.
Michal traveled with her husband for his job with Boldt Construction and assisted him as the job site secretary. After retirement she and her husband moved to Summit Lake area in 2004.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho.
Michal loved spending time with her grandchildren, she also loved her dogs and enjoyed gardening, canning, making quilts, solving jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, watching the Lawrence Welk show and listening to Polka music.
Survivors including her husband are four sons, Tim (Kelly) Pozorski, Wausau, Ken (Michelle) Pozorski, Kronenwetter, Keith (Kathi) Pozorski, Marathon City, Eric (Kimberly) Pozorski, Wausau; eight grandchildren Brennen, Blake, Colin, Ryan, Katie, Kyle, Aaron and Mikayla; a sister, Barb (Jim) Beese, Wausau; four brothers, John (Sharon) Obermann, Woodruf, Larry (Anne) Obermann, Green Bay, Dan Obermann, Schofield and Ted Obermann.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho with Rev. David Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
