Concert with Nationally Acclaimed Folk Singer Bill Staines February 24th 7:30pm, Edison Club, 623 Edison Street, Antigo. Many of his songs have originated from the people and places he has encountered during his 40+ years of touring the United States & Canada. A cover charge of $10 per person will be collected at the door. Many of Staines’ albums & books will be available for sale at the concert. The Antigo Community Theatre is sponsoring the concert. Immunization Clinic February 25th 9am- 4pm Langlade County Health Department, 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo. The immunization clinic is available to provide childhood immunizations and adult vaccinations. The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months – 18 years of age, if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. Contact the Health Department for more information or to see if you need any vaccinations. Free Open Skate February 26th 11:30am-1pm Langlade County Hockey Arena/Multi-purpose Building, 1633 Neva Road, Antigo. The Antigo Area Youth Hockey Association, in collaboration with the City of Antigo Park & Rec Department, offer FREE open skates throughout the year at the Langlade County Multi-Purpose Building. The Open Skates are FREE with the donation of a canned good. There is a limited supply of skates available for use (these are free, but must be returned at the end of the skate). All Staff Event Party for the Unified School District of Antigo February 26th 6pm, North Star Lanes, 400 Prosser Place, Antigo. All staff & retirees of the Unified School District of Antigo are invited, and bring your better half. Food from 6:30-8:30pm including: mini-sandwiches, baby reds, snacks, appetizers & desserts. 37th Annual Pelican Lake Chamber Ice-Fishing Derby February 28th 7am-4:30pm Gerrits’ Lakeview Inn, 656 County Rd. G, Pelican Lake. All fish must be registered at the tavern & you must present the orange ticket stubs when registering a fish. The $5 tickets can be purchased in advance at all area chamber businesses. Everyone purchasing orange tickets will also be put in a drawing for cash prizes of $500, $200, & $100. They will also be selling 300 tickets for a Jiffy Pro 4 Lite Propane Ice Drill with 8” XT drill assembly, GoPro Hero Camera, or Ice Fishing Package. Food & beverages will be available for purchase. Drawings for cash & prizes for adults & children in designated fish categories will start at 5:30pm. Also, stop by during the day to purchase tickets for the merchandise prize baskets on display, or try your luck at winning some great prizes on the paddle wheel game. Kettlebowl Waffle and Sausage Breakfast February 28th 10am Kettlebowl Ski Hill Chalet, N6875 State Highway 52, Bryant. Kettlebowl Ski Hill will be having a waffle and sausage breakfast by Nick Salm on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Kettlebowl Chalet. Breakfast will be a free will donation.
Kettlebowl Fun Days February 28th 10am- 4pm Kettlebowl Ski Hill, N6875 State Highway 52,
Bryant. It will start with a sausage and waffle breakfast at 10am. All students will receive one ticket entry with each lift ticket purchased on Feb. 14th ,15th , 21st & 22nd. This ticket will enter you into the prize drawing which will be held at Fun Day on the 28th. Prizes will be separated into the following age groups: Age 13 through High School; Age 6-12; 5 years & under.
5th Annual Turkey Bowling Fundraiser February 28th 12-4pm Riverview Town Hall/Fire Department, 5 miles North of Mountain, 15471 Hwy 32, Mountain. Try your skill bowling with a frozen turkey. Spectators welcome. Enclosed pavilion is available as a warming area. $25 for a 4 person team. Proceeds to be used for a wireless sound system in the pavilion. No Child Left Indoors Banquet February 28th 5pm Vickie & the Vets, VFW, 1216 Elm Street, Antigo. A program through Pheasants Forever to support Langlade County’s local youth.
