James F. Lobner, 87
James Franklin Lobner, age 87, of Phlox, died Thursday February 5, 2015 at Our Special Family.
James was born February 1, 1928 to the late John and Gertrude (Freeman) Lobner.
He resided in Racine much of his life and came to live in Phlox in 1991. He worked as a school bus driver and charter bus driver.
He enjoyed stock car racing in his younger days and the companionship of his many dogs throughout the years.
James served in the US Navy during World War II from September 26, 1945 until his honorable discharge January 20, 1949. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He is survived by a daughter Jan of Arkansas, a son James of Tomah, his grandchildren, dear friends Jackie and Bill Resch, and his beloved puppy Maizy.
James was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lyle, Jack and Bud.
