Mary Lynn Byle age 53, of Elcho, entered into eternal life Sunday, February 8, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a courageous 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mary was born on November 30, 1961 to Reginald & Eileen (Volm) Pierret in West Bend, WI; they survive and reside in Antigo. As a girl she moved to Pelican Lake, WI, where her family owned and operated Boiling Springs Tavern. On March 14, 1981 she married Marshall Byle at St. John’s Catholic Church in Pelican Lake, WI; he survives.

Mary graduated from Elcho High School in 1980. She then went on to attend Nicolet Area Technical College where she graduated from their nursing program. Along with being a loving wife and mother, Mary enjoyed working as an RN at Langlade Hospital and Aspirus Elcho Clinic from 1989 until 2014. Her most recent position was Clinic Coordinator at Aspirus Elcho Clinic. Mary loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren, going to the Hodag Country Festival with her mom and sister, camping, and spending time at the lakehouse on Pelican Lake. Mary was a member of Holy Family Church in Elcho.

In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include two daughters, Amanda Byle (Kenneth Puffer) of Pelican Lake; Kimberly (Eric) Lindeen of Minnetrista, Minnesota; grandchildren, Tyler Dettman, Kiyen Puffer, Alexa & Kenley Lindeen; a sister, Lisa (Randy) Bennett of Carmel, Indiana, along with a step niece, Alex, a step nephew, Clay, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her father-in-law & mother-in-Law, Vernon & Irene Byle; a sister-in-law Beverly Parks, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home on Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until the service at the church on Thursday.
