Annette Mary Jantz, 70
Annette Mary Jantz passed peacefully into Heaven on February 18, 2015, due to complications from an undiagnosed illness. Born on June 9, 1944, in Antigo, Wisconsin to the late Adolph and Joy (Richardson) Jantz, Annette lived her latter years in the hometown that she dearly loved, White Lake, among her lifetime of friends that she counted as family.
Annette was dedicated to serving others her whole life, first and foremost as loving mother to her two sons, Mark (Priscilla) and Christopher (Leah) Heistad, and more recently as Grandmother to Savannah, Macie, Margaret “Greta”, Isaac and Alison, all of whom survive Annette. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Jantz; her maternal Aunt, Barbara Roberts; her nephews, Richard Jr. and Robert Jantz; as well as many beloved cousins.
In service to her community, Annette was an active member of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Choir and Music department. She was a volunteer for the White Lake Food Pantry, Head of the planning committee for the annual White Lake Christmas Dinner, Chairman for the fund raising committee for the Village of White Lake, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and member of the White Lake Historical Society. Annette organized a lending library that was enjoyed by many. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and sharing those activities with others.
Annette will perhaps be most remembered as a long-standing smiling face at the White Lake Market, where she was employed and where she took the time to be involved in the lives of every patron.
As she loved and encouraged others unconditionally, Annette will be missed by many.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Rev. Steve Vaudt officiating. Visitation will be April 4 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
