SAM_2164The students at Partners were happy to learn they were receiving a donation of a classroom set of snowshoes from Yukon Charlie’s, as well as a classroom set of snow gaiters to keep the snow out of their shoes. The snow gaiters were a very generous and appreciated donation of the Healthy Kids Bright Kids grant through the Community Health Foundation and Langlade Hospital. Both donations have allowed the students to get outside during the winter months and to work towards earning their physical education credit. The students also benefit in their studies as exercise helps students focus on classroom work. The students at Partners thank those that were involved in supplying this equipment that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Partners Alternative High School has also announced their first semester honors.

The first semester at Partners was a great success. Many students excelled in academics, as well as personal growth. Students receiving recognition for stellar performance in the areas of attendance and work-study hours include: Logan Fleischman, John Frisch, Kegan Hackbarth, Brandon Hess, Thomas Jaster, Anthony Kelly, Katelyn Kielcheski, Brendan Majewski, Jenna Mosher, Bri VanBuskirk, Makayla Wickkiser and Mateo Zarate-Castellanos.

A few students also earned the “Above and Beyond” award for having excellent attendance and great academics all while working long hours at their local jobs in the community. The first quarter recipient was Jenna Mosher. Semester recipients are Logan Fleischman, Anthony Kelly and Jenna Mosher.
