Patricia “Pat” Roe, 89
Patricia “Pat” Roe died at Langlade Hospital on March 27, 2015 at age 89.
She was born Aug. 6, 1925 in Nelma, daughter of the late Rev. Robert T. and Frances (Huff) Spencer. She graduated from Siren High School in 1943, and later attended Superior State Teachers College, where she earned her teaching certificate. She married Ray Roe on Aug. 3, 1947 in Waupaca, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2008.
Mrs. Roe taught third grade in White Late in the 1940s, later becoming a homemaker and mother. In 1963, the family moved to Waupaca, and she worked with her husband as a bookkeeper in their accounting firm.
She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, traveling, and reading. She was an active volunteer in Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H, Homemaker’s Club, Missionettes, and various school positions.
Mrs. Roe was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Linda (Clyde Urban) Lowther of Almond, Pam (Jeff) Meyer of Bellingham, WA, Diane (Steve) Gress of Polar; 3 sons, Robert (Laura) Roe of Austin, TX, John (Brenda) Roe of Waupaca, and Donald (Chris) Roe of Saginaw, MN; a sister, Faith Atkins of Lawton, OK; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Spencer, and a brother-in-law, Horace Atkins.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Four Corners Assembly of God in White Lake. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 at the church. Breakfast will be served at church during the visitation. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Alvin on a later date.
