Sharon Schomer, 73
Sharon Schomer, of Elcho, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Langlade Hospital. She was 73 years old. sharon was born on October 14, 1941 in Marinette, a daughter of John and Gladys (Gauthier) Brendemihl. She married Robert Schomer on June 17, 1961 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Marinette. He survives.
She was a graduate of Marinette High School with the class of 1960.
Sharon worked for Wisconsin Bell as a telephone operator in Marinette for many years. She also served as the director of the Marinette Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed the many activities and trips.
She and her husband moved to Elcho in 2003 where she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, playing cards, flower gardening, trips to the casino, and playing bingo.
Survivors including her husband are two daughters, Carrie (Daniel) Davis, Burnsville, Minnesota, Chris Jandrey, Marinette; six grandchildren Benjamin (Kristin), Steffan and Timothy Davis, Nathan, Tyler and Tiffany Jandrey; two great-grandchildren Abby and Brayden Davis; a brother, Bud (Shirley) Brendemihl; three sisters, Priscilla Olsen, Elcho, Lynn (Bill) Paris and Donna; plus 20 foster siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Neil Olsen.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday March 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho with Rev. David Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church.
