Ronald H. Braun, age 74, of Pickerel died Friday May 1, 2015 at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center following complications after surgery.
Ronald was born on June 28, 1940 to the late Norman and Aamara (Benser) Braun in Pickerel, WI.
Ron was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1958. He then served in the US Army from December 29, 1958 until his honorable discharge on March 1, 1962.
On June 3, 1961 he was united in marriage to Carol Henkel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wabeno.
Ron dairy farmed in Pickerel and Blackwell and was also employed at Vulcan, Robins Flooring and Fleet Farm until his retirement in 2004.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also flew his own airplane and enjoyed trips with Carol on their Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

In addition to his wife Carol, Ron is survived by a daughter Debora Braun and her husband Steve Ramlow of Menomonee Falls WI, a son Robert and his wife Candice Braun of Hartford WI, 3 grandchildren Rian Socia, Alexis and Benjamin Braun, and 2 sisters, Janice Bocek of Oshkosh and Anna Maenner of Waterloo, WI.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, a son Alan Scott Braun, and 3 brothers, Marlin, Garlon, and Marshall Braun.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel. Reverend Michael Mathey will officiate. Military honors will follow the service at the church. Visitation will be from 9:30:00 AM until the service at the church.
