Culver’s of Antigo joins forces with Police Department
Culver’s of Antigo is excited to announce joining forces with the Antigo Police Department in their effort to raise necessary funds to bring a canine (K9) police unit to the City of Antigo and Langlade County.
This is a wonderful cause benefitting the entire community – not just city residents. K9 units provide a sense of personal security and have been proven to deter criminal activity. The dog will be trained to detect illegal drugs, aid in search and rescue, locate missing persons and enhance officers’ capability during routine patrol. Currently, when K9 units are needed, they must be brought in from neighboring communities at a considerable expense to our city.
Their mutual goal is to raise $30,000 to cover costs of the trained dog, training of the dog’s handler, kennel and specific equipment for the K9 patrol car.
In the spirit of this effort, Culver’s will be hosting multiple “donation” days when up to 25% of all sales will go directly to the Police Department K9 Fund. They are also encouraging area businesses to join them in supporting this effort by allowing collection canisters in their businesses.
All donations, regardless of size are important and matter greatly to this cause. There are a number of ways you can contribute. You can donate by credit card, by mail or in person at these locations:
Antigo Police Department – 840 Clermont Street, Antigo, WI 54409
