Bruce Allen Hofmann entered the kingdom of Heaven on July 16, 2015 at his home in Antigo. He was 66 years old.

He was born January 19, 1949 in Wausau, son of the late Alvin and Virginia (Burns) Hofmann. He married DiAnne Bostwick on July 13, 1991, and they recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary.

Bruce was a volunteer firefighter with Antigo Rural Fire Control for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also loved hunting and fishing and watching the Packers and Brewers.

In addition to his wife, DiAnne Hofmann of Antigo, he left behind five children, Pamela Bostwick of Bryant, Paula (Clay) Lightfoot of Deerbrook, Carl (fiancé Rhonda) Bostwick of Gleason, Renae (Dale) Bauer of Arbor Vitae, and Craig Bostwick of Antigo. He had six wonderful grandchildren that he adored spending time with: Tyler Bostwick, Emily Bostwick, Cassandra Bostwick, Samantha Bauer, Lindsey Lightfoot, and Molly Bostwick. He is further survived by seven siblings, Tom (Sue) Hofmann of De Pere, Mike (Nita) Hofmann of Lake Tomahawk, Dick (Pati) Hofmann of Two Rivers, Jane (Steve) Kordiyak of Oconto, John (Teresa) Hofmann of Schofield, Rod (Kathy) Hofmann of Schofield, and Ken Hofmann of Schofield; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty (Mark) Merriman of Texas, and Peggy (Dick) Chase of Sturgeon Bay; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Larry Hofmann; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Shirley and Roy Perrot.

In accordance with Bruce’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
