Risen Savior Lutheran Vacation Bible School July 28th-July 30th 9am-1:30am. Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 13825 St. Hwy. 32, Mountain. Risen Savior invites all children ages preschool-6th grade to a bible school themed “Tasty Treats.” The program is free. Come and enjoy bible study, crafts, games, snacks & music. Informational Meeting for the TrANS (Transportation Alliance for New Solutions) Program July 28th 10-11:30am 3051 Sand Lake Rd., Crandon. Come to this informational meeting for a FREE 6 week construction class that will begin August 10th. Through this program, Forward Service Corporation provides services to prepare individuals for employment as laborers in the road construction industry & building trades. To be in the program you must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation & be 18 yrs. or older. There are no income requirements. Water Carnival and Day of Play July 28th 11am-12:30pm Peaceful Valley Park, 420 Field St., Antigo. Bring your family to the park for water games, backyard games, and lots, and lots of fun! Limited concession items available for sale. It is highly recommended that all participants wear shoes and clothing that can get wet. Please remember towels for lounging and drying off.

Langlade County Fair July 29th-August 2nd Langlade County Fairgrounds, 1633 Neva Rd., Antigo. Bring your family & enjoy a day of quality family time. Stroll through over 5000 4-H exhibits, sit & watch one of the many animal shows, see fabulous entertainment on the two free stages, & take in strolling entertainers on the midway. There are two buildings full of vendors showcasing their services & products along with plenty of food & drinks to enjoy. A&P Carnival has over 30 rides for young and old. There is no gate fee.

35th Annual Laona Lion’s Club & Laona Rescue Squad Community Soup & Souper Run August 1st 7am Silver Lake Beach, Nicolet National Forest, Laona. Registration for run begins at 7am. Kid’s races begin at 9am. ¼ mile (6yrs. & under), ½ mile (7-11 yrs.), 5K Run/Walk to follow. Awards to the top 3. Pre-registration is encouraged. Community Soup follows the run. Wabeno Art and Music Festival August 1st-2nd Downtown, Wabeno. It is an outdoor celebration of fine art, great music and delicious food & drink in historic downtown Wabeno. Two days packed with over twenty musical acts on three stages, visual artists doing demonstrations of their techniques and culinary creations for everyone to enjoy- something for every palate! This event will be for all ages and include a youth theater performance, puppet theater & hands on art activities for everyone.
Paddleboat Pandemonium August 1st 1-4pm Sammy’s Bar & Grill, N9067 Waterpower Rd., Deerbrook. There will be a decorated boat parade at 1pm with racing heats beginning at 2pm. Trophies for first, second & third places along with Best Decorated Boat will be giving out. Entry fee is $20 per two-person team. Paddleboats will be available or bring your own.
