4th Annual Summer Swing Golf Outing August 17th 1-8pm Bass Lake Golf Course, W10650 Bass Lake Rd., Deerbrook. Shot gun start at 1pm. This is a 4 person scramble with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. It is $75 per person or $50 for Bass Lake members. This price includes 18 holes of golfing, cart, dinner, and tip. Auditions for the Music in the Park Amateur Talent Show August 18th & 19th 4:30pm-7pm Antigo High School, 1900 Tenth Ave., Antigo. A panel of judges will rate the auditions. Criteria are quality of performance, stage presence, entertainment value, costume & content/selection. Acts must be appropriate for all ages. Auditions are first come, first served. Music at the Depot August 18th 5:30-8pm White Lake Depot, Lake Street, White Lake. Gary’s Basement Band will be playing at the Depot platform. Community Cookout for the 2015 Citizens of the Year August 22nd 11am-2pm White Lake Pavilion, White Lake. Help celebrate Joe & Jean Edelman and Chet & Penny Oatman as Citizens of the Year. Ceremony at noon. Hot Dog Plate $3, Brat Plat $4. (Plate includes hot dog or brat, chips & a drink) Culver’s custard $1 and free cake. Everyone welcome. Proceeds go the 2016 fireworks to celebrate the White Lake Centennial.

(media tech room, 2nd floor) The board of education will host a public forum to explain options for the district’s school facilities for the next ten years & beyond. Presentations will be made on a wide array of options the board will deliberate. These range from doing nothing, to building new & closing some school(s). Once laid out, the board will host several opportunities to hear community voices on the options to narrow the choices to one that serves the needs & best interests of present & future students & the community’s capacity to support the schools.
