World Championship Off-Road Races September 4th-6th Crandon International Off Road Raceway, 10104 U.S. 8, Crandon. Premier off-road racing at its best & most thrilling. Over 40,000 fans will fill every corner of Crandon International’s 2,000 camping spots, with thousands more arriving each day. Many have made this an annual family tradition, with concerts, fireworks & food providing an unforgettable weekend better known as the “Crandon Experience”. Featuring the AMSOIL Cup Race. The weekend officially kicks-off on Friday at 9:30 a.m. with the Pit Crew Competition & parade in downtown Crandon. Later, 13 different classes hit the dirt for practice, qualifying & racing as part of the track’s “Friday Night of Thunder” races. At 8:30pm, the Crandon crowd will enjoy a live concert by the band “Road Trip.” Saturday has a full slate of Sportsman & Pro class competition as drivers vie to become a Crandon Off-Road World Champion®. Vic Ferrari Band will again entertain the crowd that evening. On Sunday, the weekend will culminate with more competition & series’ championships crowned in the Sportsman & PRO Light truck categories. The finale will see TORC’s PRO 2WD & PRO 4×4 classes on the track at the same time after receiving staggered starts for the 6th Annual Amsoil Cup Challenge race.
4th Annual Puttin’ for Pink Men’s & Women’s 4 Person Golf Scramble Noon September 4th Bass Lake Country Club, W10650 Bass Lake Rd, Deerbrook. 18 holes with shotgun start at noon. Putting contest, silent auction & 50/50, many prize hole chances. Hole in one chances: $10,000 & 2015 Jeep Renegade. 9th Annual Corn Roast ATV/UTV Parade September 5th 11am Barb’s Valley Inn, 18904 State Highway 32, Townsend. Come by ATV, UTV, car, truck or van….everyone is invited to attend this great “family friendly” event. The ATV/UTV parade will form at 10:30 across from Townsend Shell. All ATV and UTV owners are invited to participate in the parade. Meat raffles, D.J. music, food, and free sweet corn will be available all day until 6PM.
