Judy Pranke, 70

Judy Pranke, age 70, of Summit Lake and formerly of Watertown, WI died Monday September 7, 2015 at Langlade Hospital.

Judy was born November 28, 1944 to the late Harry and Mary Elizabeth (Ahrendt) Campbell in Milwaukee.

She was united in marriage to Lyle Lange on March 24, 1962 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1993. She married Ken Pranke on October 12, 1996 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Elcho. Ken survives and resides in Summit Lake.

Judy was raised in Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. She later moved to Watertown, and graduated from Watertown High School. She worked and raised her family in Watertown, along with her husband Lyle. After retirement, she resided in Elcho with her second husband, Ken, where she enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a wonderful 19 years.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Elcho, where she was an active participant in Bible study and other church activities. Judy was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. She was a devoted Christian who found great comfort in God’s love, and she touched many lives with her strong faith. She truly enjoyed spending time with people, and she had a great impact on all who knew her.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, Ken Pranke, include 2 daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Jilek of Watertown and Donna Lange of Stevens Point; 2 sons, Loren (Lisa) Lange and Scott (Val) Lange, both of Watertown; 2 stepchildren, Kathy (Walter, Jr.) Campbell of Antigo and Todd (Peggy) Pranke of Wausau; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gale Campbell of Antigo; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Campbell, Sr., and a sister, Barbara Drost.

A funeral service will take place at noon on Monday, Sept. 14 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Elcho, with Rev. Jerome Hahn officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Interment will take place at 1:00 on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
