Antigo Police Reports for 12/28/15
Sunday, December 20th
2:54 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that she received information that someone left garbage all over the yard and on the roof of her rental home on 7th Avenue. The female caller asked that someone check on it because she is currently caring for an elderly relative, and unable to check herself. Officers advised the caller that they would check to see if there was any damage to the property or garbage outside.
Saturday, December 19th
2:36 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Edison Street and 10th Avenue. Male was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and a department of corrections hold.
1:35 AM Officers made contact with two male subjects at Edison Street and 5th Avenue. Both subjects were cited for open intoxicants and littering.
Friday, December 18th
3:46 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Field Street reporting that she was notified that her computer was having problems and she gave her banking information to them to pay for it to be fixed over the internet. Officers advised female that this is believed to be a scam, she should have her computer checked out and to cancel her card.
11:29 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a suspicious person at an area business on Hwy. 64. Male reported that a male subject, approximately in his mid-30’s, wearing a blue parka, and carrying a gas can was walking around the parking lot asking people for money. Officers were unable to locate male carrying a gas can.
10:37 AM Officers responded to an accident at 1st Avenue and Edison Streets. Property damage only. Accident report was filed.
1:47 AM Officers arrested male subject at an area business on Edison Street on an outstanding warrant and possession of THC.
Thursday, December 17th
3:16 PM Officers responded to an accident on the corner of 10th Avenue and Deleglise Street. Property damage only. One subject claimed minor injury. Ambulance was refused. Report was made.
12:44 PM Officers received a call from the male owner of an area business on Neva Road reporting criminal damage to property. Male stated that a hose caddy located on the north side of the building was smashed to pieces. Damage occurred sometime between 11:00 PM on 12/16/15 and 7:00 AM on 12/17/15.
4:37 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Wilson Street reporting that someone was attempting to get into her garage. Female stated that after she let her dogs outside, they began barking and growling. Female saw a subject in the back yard. The dogs cornered the subject in the northwest corner of the yard. When female went for help, subject escaped. Subject ran toward Wilson Street, got into a small car, and drove north on Wilson Street. There was no forced entry or attempted forced entry to the locked garage or locked vehicles in the driveway. Nothing appears to be missing at this time. There are no suspects. Female will notify police department of anyone in the neighborhood saw something.
Wednesday, December 16th
4:05 PM Officers received a call from an area business on 5th Avenue reporting that someone threw garbage and a prescription into one of their employee’s cars.
6:42 AM Officers received a call from a male on N. Superior Street reporting the theft of a “star shower” laser light on a stake from his front yard. Theft occurred sometime after 10pm 12/15/15. Item was valued at $40.
Tuesday, December 15th
12:44 PM Officers responded to a call from male driver reporting that a red vehicle is all over the roadway on Superior Street. Vehicle turned westbound on to 10th Avenue. Vehicle stopped in parking lot at park. Male caller made contact with female driver of vehicle. She is diabetic. Ambulance was sent to location.
12:02 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Neva Road reporting that 30 Clonazepam pills are missing from his residence. The theft occurred sometime between 10:00 AM 12/11/15 and 4:00 PM 12/14/15. There are no suspects. Statement was taken.
Monday, December 14th
9:26 PM Officers responded to a call of a juvenile male riding his bicycle inside a business on 5th Avenue. Officers were unable to locate juvenile.
4:55 PM Officers received a call from a male on Hogan Street reporting that his vehicle was entered while it was in his garage. The garage was not locked. Missing items include some change, lottery tickets and glasses that say Harley Davidson on the side. Theft occurred sometime between 11:30 PM on 12/13/15 and 5:00 AM on 12/14/15.
3:27 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 10th Avenue reporting that there is a syringe in the gutter by the mailbox. Officers collected the needle and will be disposing of it.
3:09 PM Officers received a report from an area male that he observed another male on 12/11/15 driving/operating a vehicle and was weaving all over the road into oncoming traffic. Three vehicles had to slow down and move to the curb to avoid male driver.
3:09 PM Officers received a call from a male employee of an area business, that around 11 AM a male subject was in the store, making disturbing comments about bringing a weapon to another area business. Officers made contact with the male subject. Male stated that he did make the comments, but he didn’t mean them. He has no plans to harm anyone.
1:08 PM Officers received a call that a male employee of an area restaurant with special needs, got mad and left on foot. Officers were given a description of the male and his address.
