Antigo Police Reports for 1/4/16

Sunday, December 27th

1:18 PM Officers responded to a report of three or four kids on Remmington Lake. There was concern about the ice thickness. Kids were fine. There appeared to be 3-4 inches of solid ice.

12:40 PM Officers responded to call from a female at Superior Street about an attempted burglary. Officers determined there was no break in, probable door not secured properly. Female caller will attempt to make sure rear motion light comes on. Nothing was missing or out of place inside.

8:24 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and Pierce Street. Female driver was issued a citation for speed.

2:56 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Birch Street. Male driver was cited for speed, no proof of insurance, and minor transporting intoxicants.

2:30 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Dorr Street and Duchac Street. Male driver was cited for speed.

2:23 AM Officers came upon a male subject at 5th Avenue and Edison Street. Male was cited for open intoxicants.

1:40 AM Officers respond to a report of a vehicle on the rocks outside an area restaurant on Neva Road. Female driver is arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.

12:20 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. Male driver was cited for no insurance.

Saturday, December 26th

8:30 PM A male came to the Safety Building to report the theft of keys and his mother’s laptop from his brother’s apartment. According to the male, a female subject was at the apartment doing some cleaning. It was at this time that the keys went missing. Officers are investigating.

4:25 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 1st Avenue reporting that a silver F150 truck just struck his mailbox and left going east on 1st Avenue. Male caller’s son got a picture of the vehicle. Officers are investigating.

3:53 PM Officers responded to a call from a resident on 3rd Avenue reporting that a male driver in a blue Geo Metro just hit their mailbox and left. Officers found the vehicle at an area business on Superior Street. It had some damage. Frontier was notified to check the pole.

1:42 PM Officers received several complaints about the slipperiness of the city streets, and that nothing had been done for three days. Officers talked with an employee of the department of public works. Employee will check the situation and possibly send a salt truck out.

9:51 AM Officers responded to a call from a female driver reporting that she struck a telephone pole on Dorr Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. No lines were down. Frontier was notified.

Friday, December 25th

12:55 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. Driver was cited for violation of driver’s license restrictions.

11:54 AM Officers received a call from an employee of an area gas station on Highway 45 reporting a $25.00 gas drive off. Vehicle was described as a silver Toyota. Female driver was described as a blonde female in 40’s. Vehicle left southbound on Hwy. 45. Officers stopped a silver Honda Accord at Hwy. 45 and Birch Street at 12:30 PM. Female driver returned to gas station to pay.

5:40 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Superior Street. Male driver was issued a citation for speed.

Thursday, December 24th

9:49 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on 8th Avenue reporting that a young male subject is riding a red three wheeler in the alley by 8th Avenue and Morse Street. Officers located male subject, who was warned about riding on city streets and told that any more incidents would result in a citation.

4:53 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Ackley Street. Male driver is issued a citation for operating while suspended and no proof of insurance.

2:04 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and 10th Avenue. Male driver is issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Wednesday, December 23rd

11:56 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Dorr Street reporting that a red Chevy S-10 truck just drove up onto the curb and knocked down 5 to 6 mailboxes. Officers also spoke with male who saw a red Dodge Dakota go through the alley quickly. Photos were taken. Vehicle should have damage to the driver’s side front quarter panel. Officers followed fresh tire tracks in the snow leading to the residence of a male subject with a red Dodge Dakota. Male subject was asked about the incident on Dorr Street. He denied having anything to do with it.

8:32 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. Male driver was issued a citation for speed.

7:00 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Deleglise Street. Male driver was issued a citation for speed.

12:17 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that when she pulled into the parking lot of an area business on Highway 64, she was confronted by an older male in a small white vehicle who told her to shut her f**king vehicle off because the lights were shining in his eyes, and if she didn’t, he would kick the lights in to turn them off. This was all said in front of female’s 1-½ year old child. Female was worried this male would damage her vehicle. She would like an officer to speak to him.

10:51 AM Officers received a call from a female on Artic Street reporting a suspicious looking, bald male, smoking a cigarette, hanging around her house. Male subject was now walking westbound on Washington Street.

7:41 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Badger Avenue. Male driven was given a written warning for speed.

7:02 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. Male driver was given a written warning for speed.

1:25 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Charlotte Street and Steinfest Road. Female driver was given a warning for operating without headlights.

12:42 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Washington Avenue. Male driver was given a 10 day correction for an expired registration.

Tuesday, December 22nd

10:26 PM Officers received a call from Aspirus Langlade hospital reporting that a male brought in by Pickerel EMS was being belligerent and walked out of the ER. He was standing outside by a sign. Caller was concerned that the male might fall.

9:32 PM Officers responded to a report of a gas drive off from an area gas station on Hwy. 45. Male subject pumped just over $33 in gas then left the parking lot in a dark bluish SUV. Squads were advised, but unable to locate vehicle.

8:18 PM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle accident at an area restaurant on Neva Road. Vehicle struck a tree in the parking lot.

4:37 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. Male driver was warned for speed.

4:22 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Western Road. Male driver was given a 10 day correction for an expired registration.

12:40 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. Male driver was written a warning for no proof of insurance.

Monday, December 21st

11:49 PM Officers received a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting the loss of her keys. They were on a pink lanyard that says “daddy’s girl.” Three or four keys are on the ring. There is also an Anytime Fitness card & a Roundy’s card on the ring.

6:29 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that a black SUV followed her from an area business on 5th Avenue, all the way to her residence. When she pulled into her driveway, the vehicle continued on. Squads were advised.

6:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a blue Windstar was driving all over the road and crossing the center line. Male driver was issued a citation for operating after suspension.

2:06 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 10th Avenue. Male driver was issued a citation for speed.

Sunday, December 20th

5:22 PM Officers received a report from a male about the theft of medication. The bottle of medication was there before male went to church, but was gone when he came back. Male caller said that he lost one of his keys in the hallway. He thinks this is how someone got in. Male caller’s other medications were still there. Officers were advised.
