Antigo Police Reports for 2/1/16
Sunday, January 24th
5:02 PM Officers received a report from a male subject about damage to his vehicle while it was parked on 5th Avenue on January 23rd at approximately 9pm. The male stated that small pieces of debris were left behind, but he thinks that they are from his vehicle. An accident report was filed.
12:04 AM Officers responded to an alarm from an area business on Neva Road. Officers found that the side door was not shut all of the way. Everything appeared ok. There were no signs of forced entry. Door was secured.
Saturday, January 23rd
3:27 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting that there was a stray Chihuahua in her yard dragging a long chain. Officers took the dog to the Humane Society.
9:14 AM Officers responded to a burglar alarm at an area residence. Officers were unable to reach key holder. Officers found no sign of a break in.
2:42 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Superior Street. Female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. Vehicle owner was issued a written warning for expired registration.
Friday, January 22nd
9:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Clermont Streets. The male driver was cited for no insurance.
2:21 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials checked out under his minor child. The amount of loss was $121.28.
2:16 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $151.90.
2:13 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $66.48.
2:10 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $56.94.
2:08 PM An area female was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $24.99.
2:05 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $111.88.
2:04 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $109.43.
2:02 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $100.80.
2:01 PM An area female was issued a citation for theft of library materials. The amount of loss was $100.93.
1:59 PM An area male was issued a citation for theft of library materials. Amount of money owed to the library $838.74
11:44 PM Officers responded to an accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road between a semi and a car. Minor property damage only. A voluntary report will be filed.
12:26 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had just seen a male subject walking around the parking lot of an area business on 6th Avenue, looking in the back windows of vehicles. The man had a knife with an approximate 9 inch blade that the male subject was using to try and scratch his back with. The reporting male said that the subject did not appear to be quite “with it” and may be on something. The male subject also had bandages all over his face and was making strange sounds. Officers were given a more detailed description of the male subject. Officers found the male subject. He was just carving on a piece of wood.
Thursday, January 21st
10:42 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and Willard Avenue. Male driver was issued a citation for operating after suspension.
12:26 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Watson Street and 5th Avenue. Female driver was issued a citation for speed.
12:08 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Watson Street and 5th Avenue. Female driver was warned for speed and issued a seatbelt citation.
11:45 AM A female subject from Antigo reported at the Safety Building that she was involved in a minor accident on Deleglise Street on January 19th at 2:10 PM. Officers wrote an accident report.
10:49 AM A female subject dropped off a cell phone that she found near an area apartment building. The female had looked at the phone and said that it appeared that someone was trying to do a drug deal. Officers are investigating.
Wednesday, January 20th
4:18 PM Officers received a call from a female subject reporting the loss of her cellphone while on a walk from her apartment to an area business on Highway 64 and then to a business on Neva Road. She gave officers a description of the phone. The phone is believed to be valued at about $55.00
3:05 PM Officers responded to call from a male subject reporting that he struck a pole in the parking lot of an area business on Highway 64.There was a lot of damage to the vehicle, but he was not injured. An accident report was filed.
2:50 AM Officers responded to a call from Aspirus Langlade Hospital for assistance with an unruly patient. Subject fled from the Emergency Room.
1:09 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. Male driver is cited for operating without a license.
Tuesday, January 19th
6:50 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a white mini van was driving erratically. The vehicle was ranging in speed from 30-50 miles per hour and came to a stop in the middle of the lane. Officers made a traffic stop with the vehicle at 8th Avenue and Clermont Street. The vehicle was parked in the middle of the road with its lights off. The female driver was given an escort back to her residence and officers checked the house to make sure that no one had broken in. The female was warned about her driving habits.
3:50 PM Officers issued a traffic citation to a female driver for failure to stop at a stop sign at Western Avenue and County Highway Y.
10:17 AM Officers received a report of a cell phone theft from Antigo High School. The theft occurred during basketball practice.
1:38 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject who gave officers an address, but when asked what was going on at the address, hung up. After officers arrived at that address, male subject was arrested on Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
1:23 AM Officers arrested a male subject from Lakewood for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a probation hold. K9 Natscho alerted officers of the drugs.
Monday, January 18th
8:26 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a white vehicle northbound at Superior and Cherry Streets swerving in northbound lanes going 25 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. Officers followed vehicle from Neva Road to Badger Avenue. Vehicle stopped at an area business on Neva Road. Male driver was not intoxicated.
6:17 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 2nd Avenue and Langlade Road. Male driver was cited for speed.
