Knights of Columbus Friday Fish Fry January 22nd 4-7pm Knights of Columbus Hall, 535 Center Street, Antigo. Bar opens at 3:30 pm. Serving Fried or Baked Cod, Shrimp, or Fish/Shrimp Combo. Wausau 525 Snowmobile Race January 23rd & 24th Gates open at 9am, Racing 11am-4:30pm, 8911 N. Mountain Rd., Wausau. Professional snowmobile racing sanctioned by USSA. Merrill Ice Drags January 23rd Reg. at 9am, races begin at noon. Council Grounds State Park, N1895 Council Grounds Dr., Merrill. Dragsters, muscle cars & trucks race on an 1/8-mile strip of ice on Lake Alexander. Access to ice is through the Council Grounds State Park. Dates may change, please check website. Merrill Winterfest Sled Dog Race January 23rd & 24th Sat 10am, 9am on Sunday; Weather permitting. Pine River Elementary School, W4165 Highway 64, Merrill. ISDRA-sanctioned races with cash purse & trophies for the top 6 places. More than 100 mushers compete during the weekend event. Elcho Ski Club Junket January 23rd 11am-4pm Moccasin Lake Trail, Elcho. Mel’s Trading Post in Rhinelander will provide equipment for skiers and snowshoes to try out. We welcome the Antigo Bike & Ski Club & the public is welcome to join us. Meet in the parking lot at noon by the Lean-To. Bring a snack to pass. A fire will be made to roast hot dogs.
