City of Antigo Fire Department was on the scene of a house fire on Dorr Street earlier today, January 26.

Crews responded to an 11:00 a.m. call, and discovered a younger male on the roof of the porch upon arrival. The male was transported to Aspirus Langlade Hospital for treatment.

A dog was also retrieved from the home and given oxygen on site, and later taken to a local veterinary clinic for further care.

Fire Chief Jon Petroskey stated that the home was an older structure, making it hard to get at the different cavities and void areas of the home.

The fire was out in the late afternoon – investigation of the blaze is on-going. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.

The inside of the home is a total loss.
