Irvin Rudolph Kriewaldt, 100
Irvin Rudoph Kriewaldt, longtime Langlade resident, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Rosalia Gardens in Antigo under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 100 years old.
He was born Nov. 4, 1915 in Shawano County, son of the late John and Eva (Geith) Kriewaldt. He married Esther Bohm on Dec. 12, 1936 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Esther preceded him in death on May 12, 2006.
Mr. Kriewaldt operated Kriewaldt cheese factory in Langlade, and he was well-known for the quality of his cheese. He later worked for American Milk Producers, Inc., AMPI, as a cheesemaker. He served as a member of the White Lake School Board for many years.
He was a longtime and faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in White Lake.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Beltz, and 2 brothers, Arthur and Walter.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in White Lake, with Rev. Nathan Kramer officiating. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 Wednesday at the church.
