Optimist Club Holds Annual Tree Burn
The holiday season came to an enjoyable end with the Antigo Optimist Club’s annual tree burning Monday, January 25 at the Antigo High School.
The Optimist Club collected food donations from spectators for the local food pantry. Volunteers served free hot chocolate and hot dogs to those who donated.
City employees collected trees that residents left on the curbs earlier in January to prepare for the night’s gathering. The burn was postponed a week due to below-zero windchills.
