Patricia Ann Portman, 77
Patricia Ann Portman, of Antigo, died at her home on Thursday, January 21, 2016 under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 77 years old.
She was born September 8, 1938 in the Town of Ackley, a daughter of the late John and Martha (Zielazowski) Incha. She married Dr. Raymond Portman on August 12, 1961 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Milwaukee, and he survives.
Mrs. Portman graduated from Antigo High School in 1956. She was a great mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and especially cherished time with her family.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include 3 daughters, Renee (Blair) Tarver of Phoenix, AZ, Leslie (Duke) Clarke of Dallas, TX, and Stephanie (Kurt) Rotherham of Green Bay; a son, Chris (Beth) Portman of Antigo; 12 grandchildren, Jake Tarver, Davis Tarver, Nathan Tarver, Will Clarke, Katie Clarke, Michael Clarke, Charlie Rotherham, Claire Rotherham, Sophie Rotherham, Patrick Rotherham, Billy Portman, and Max Portman; 4 sisters, Jean Colburn of Berkeley, IL, Carol Incha of Antigo, Rita Incha of Antigo, and Mae (special friend Ken Fleischman) Prince of Antigo; a brother, John (special friend Donna Method) Incha of Pickerel; 5 sisters-in-law, Catherine Gehring of Green Bay, Sheila (Chuck) Huhn of Antigo, Sally Jansen of Antigo, Nell Freye of Wausau, and Willa Portman of Antigo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joan Holzem; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dr. Harlan Marsh, Dr. Tom Portman, Jeanne Marsh, Dr. John Gehring, James Jansen, Joan Schlieman, and Dr. David Schlieman, Harold Colburn, Mike Prince; and 4 nephews, Johnny Gehring, Guy Gehring, Damion Freye, Greg Holzem.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, and 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at church. Interment will follow the service at Queen of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Patricia’s name.
