Antigo Police Reports for 2-15-16
Monday, February 8th
5:53 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Clermont Street. The male driver was referred for operating after revocation.
4:08 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Hwy. 64. The female driver was referred for criminal operating after revocation and was given a 10 day written warning for expired registration.
3:46 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Morse Street. Male driver was issued a 5 day correction for registration.
Sunday, February 7th
4:32 PM Officers received a report from a female subject reporting that a big, dark colored Chevy truck followed her from Elm Street all the way to the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. It was tailgating, beeping the horn and was all over the road. The truck then pulled into the parking lot behind her, and the driver flipped her off. He then parked at a nearby business and went inside. The female then took pictures of the male driver’s truck.
9:27 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Clermont Street reporting that a tree from his neighbor’s yard came down, taking down cable lines to his house and landing on his truck. The tree branch fell between midnight and 1:00 AM. There was no damage seen to the truck, but the branch also took down the cable lines to two other residences. Pictures were taken.
8:44 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. Female driver was issued a citation for speed.
5:06 AM Officers responded to a report of a fire at an apartment building on 6th Avenue. The subjects believed that they had the fire out. The Red Cross was contacted at 6:33 AM per Antigo Fire Department for displaced residents. One apartment had water damage and 2 apartments had smoke damage.
3:09 AM Officers responded to a report of a bag of drug paraphernalia found at an area establishment on 6th Avenue. Officers logged the items in to evidence for destruction.
Saturday, February 6th
2:11 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 8th Avenue. Male driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, 2nd offense. Female passenger was arrested for bail jumping.
12:36 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Pine Street. Male driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Friday, February 4th
8:09 PM Officers received a call from a male subject at an area business on Neva Road. The male subject requested a ride from officers to Wabeno. He explained that he had taken a bus from Milwaukee to Wittenberg and then received a ride to Antigo, but he could not find a ride to Wabeno. Officers informed the male that they do not give rides. Officers then received a second call from the male subject who requested a Salvation Army voucher for a hotel. Officers did not feel that the male was a candidate for a voucher, as he had family in Wabeno and a cell phone to call them. Officers brought the male subject to the Safety Building at about 8:30 PM. The male subject left the building at about 10 PM, asking about gas stations in the area.
4:39 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Clermont Street. Male driver was issued a citation for non-registration of vehicle.
1:03 AM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a radio blaring from a residence on Deleglise Street. Officers found an underage drinking party going on in the garage. When officers knocked on the door, some individuals ran out the back door. Officers, along with the K-9 Natscho, followed the tracks through the snow. Individuals were eventually found. Everyone provided a breath sample, were turned over to their parents, and were mailed citations.
Wednesday, February 3rd
3:26 PM Officers responded to the report of a two vehicle accident at 7th Avenue and Superior Street. Property damage only.
7:54 AM Officers responded to the report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Sunset Drive. Property damage only. An accident report was filed.
6:13 AM Officers received a call from a male on 10th Avenue reporting that sometime early that morning the city snow plow went through, throwing snow up on his vehicle, cracking the back window of his car. The male owner stated that he was not looking for restitution, but wanted a complaint on file.
12:20 AM Officers came upon a vehicle in the ditch at Dorr Street & Forrest Road. No one was around the vehicle. The driver was later arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Tuesday, February 2nd
7:25 PM Officers received a report from a female subject on 2nd Avenue that when she got home, her door was open and her television was missing.
4:27 PM Officers received a report from a female subject reporting that she just noticed a scratch on the passenger side door of her car, that appears to maybe be a key mark. She was unsure when or where it happened, but it wasn’t there that morning. A criminal damage report was filed.
4:21 PM Officers responded to a report from a female reporting that when she stopped at an area residence, a male subject came to the door with completely blood shot eyes, and she felt that he may be impaired. The male subject then drove away in a silver Jeep. The vehicle was southbound on Dorr Street, then turned on Hickory Street, then turned southbound on S. Superior Street and finally stopped in the parking lot of an area business. Male driver was not intoxicated.
1:44 PM Officers responded to the report of an accident on Neva Road by Center Street. The vehicles were now in the parking lot of an area business. Property damage only. A voluntary accident report was filed.
9:28 AM Officers received a call from the employee of an area business on Edison Street, stating that they recently let a male employee go. The company is now concerned about some of the comments that the male subject has been making. Some of these comments were in writing. Officers asked to receive a copy of the written comments and all other information that the business has on this person.
