Esther Mary Ostrowski, 96

Esther M. Ostrowski, 96, formerly of Galloway, died Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
She was born on March 24, 1919 in the Town of Franzen, the daughter of the late Frank and Adelia (Stroik) Goskowicz.
On November 7, 1936, Esther was united in marriage to Jacob Ostrowski in Galloway. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1990.
Esther and Jacob farmed in Galloway for many years. She also worked for Ernie Bushman for a number of years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway and the Rosary Society. Esther enjoyed working outside and spending time with her family.
Survivors include four children, Rita Rady, Menomonee Falls, Allen (Deanna) Ostrowski, Galloway, Patrick (Joyce) Ostrowski, Galloway and Ann Ortner, Burlington; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Garski, Rosholt and two brothers, Alvin Goskowicz, Milwaukee and James Goskowicz, Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by one son, Edward; one daughter, Connie; four brothers, Norbert, Eugene, Julian and Antone; and four sisters, Eleanor Brzezinski, Bernadette Wanta, Bernice Szeremet and Wanda Trzebiatowski.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4pm on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2pm until the time of services at the church. There will be a Rosary Service held at 3:15pm. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared at schmidtschulta.com. The family would like to thank the staff at the Homme Home of Wittenberg for all their loving care.
