Evelyn T. Kulas, 90
Evelyn T. Kulas, 90, town of Franzen, Marathon County, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 12, 2016, surrounded by her loving family while holding her husbands hand. She was at Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.
She was born August 24, 1925 in the town of Sharon, Portage County. The daughter of the late Walter and Johanna (Bushman) Schulist. On November 12, 1947, Evelyn was united in marriage to Harry Kulas at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Torun. He survives.
Evelyn enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and fishing. She was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Galloway and the Rosary Society, PCCW and also a member of the Elderon Memorial Post Auxiliary. Evelyn worked many hours in the kitchen baking items that she donated for various church functions throughout the years.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harry; nine children, Gary (Marilyn) Kulas, Amherst Jct, James (Mary) Kulas, Galloway, Phyllis (Ralph) Lepak, Stevens Point, Kenneth (Marlene) Kulas, West Bend, Teri (Gary) Lepak, Plover, Thomas (Debra) Kulas, Rosholt, Steve (Pat) Kulas, Galloway, Susan (Jeff) Karcheski, Plover and Duane (Teresa) Kulas, Galloway; daughter-in-law, Valerie Kulas, Wittenberg; 35 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; sister, Agnes Laska, Rhinelander and several other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a son, Jeff; grandson, William Michael Kulas; brothers, John, Clarence, Edmund and Stanley and sisters, Tillie Gagas and Clara Pepowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr Augustine Bentil will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Galloway from 4pm to 8pm with a Rosary service being held at 7:30pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service.
