Robert Marvin, of Antigo, died at Care Partners Assisted Living on Friday, January 29, 2016. He was 88 years old.

He was born February 10, 1927 in Langlade County, son of the late Roy and Julia (Jicha) Marvin. He married Marjorie Alice Brittenham in Antigo on October 23, 1948. She preceded him in death on April 28, 2014.

Mr. Marvin served in the US Navy. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was employed as manager at Northern Auto until his retirement. He enjoyed camping and fishing trips to Lake Gogebic, and snowmobiling.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Carol (Dick) Hoffmeister of Antigo; a brother, Ken (Erla) Marvin of Antigo; 2 sisters-in-law, Eleanor Goodwill of West Bend, and Katie Brittenham of Antigo; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Huhn; and 3 brothers, Norman, Jerry, and Mike Marvin.

A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Kendall officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-11:30 Wednesday at the church. Local veterans will present military honors following the service. Burial will take place at Bent Cemetery in Bryant on a later date.
