Charlene Dolezal, 69
Charlene Dolezal, of Antigo, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at home. She was 69 years old. She was born on August 19, 1946 in Merrill, a daughter of Ervin and Florence (Marske) Zimmerman. She married Wencel Dolezal on July 9, 1966 in Merrill. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2003.
She was a graduate of Merrill High School with the class of 1964.
Mrs. Dolezal was a homemaker having raised her family in the town of Polar.
For the past 20 years she was a newspaper carrier for the Milwaukee Journal and the Antigo Daily Journal.
She was a member of the Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post #3-Auxiliary in Antigo. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and flower gardening.
Survivors include a daughter Lynn (Richard) Olson, Wausau; seven sons, Francis (Kris) Dolezal, Wausau, Edward Dolezal, Wausau, Karl Dolezal, Antigo, Donald (Kim) Dolezal, Aniwa, John Dolezal, Wausau, Richard (Pamela) Dolezal, Madison, Steve Dolezal, Antigo; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas (Sharon) Zimmerman, Merrill.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Zimmerman.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann, officiating. Entombment will take place at Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday all at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
