9th Annual Taste of Shawano: Food & Culture Fest April 4th 5:30-7:30pm Shawano Community High School, 220 County Road B, Shawano. Living Well with Chronic Conditions-Put Life Back in Your Life! April 5th 9:30am-Noon St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 138 Bissell Street, White Lake. This 6 week program is designed to help those with chronic health conditions build confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active & fulfilling lives. Throughout this 6-week course, participants will learn about managing fatigue, pain, isolation, medication, exercises for balance, flexibility & strength; communicating effectively with family, friend, and health care professionals; nutrition; and making informed treatment decisions. $10 is the suggested contribution. 2016 Learn-To-Hunt Wild Turkey Program April 9th & 10th Antigo DNR Service Center, 223 E Steinfest Rd., Antigo. The Wisconsin DNR & the Langlade Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will conduct the 14th annual Learn-to-Hunt Wild Turkey Program. Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast April 10th 8am-Noon Knights of Columbus Hall, 535 Center Street, Antigo. The pancake breakfast will be held at the KC Hall on the second Sunday of each month through Mother’s Day. Serving 8 am to noon. All you can eat buttermilk and potato pancakes. Also serving pork sausage, coffee, milk, and orange juice.
City of Antigo Annual Brewer Bus Trip April 10th 8:15am Leave Time from City Hall back parking lot, 700 Edison St., Antigo. Travel to Miller Park on an air-conditioned coach bus and watch the Brewers play the Astros. Get your vintage bobble head upon entry to the game! We will be in Section 209, rows 1-14. We will tailgate before the game (brats, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda and cookies – included in the cost). Please plan accordingly if you would like to purchase food at the stadium. Cost: $39.00 for youth (under 18; fees include tailgate food and non-alcoholic drink); $44.00 for adults (fees include tailgate food and non-alcoholic drink). You must ride the bus both there and back. No refunds.
