Police Reports for 3/14/16
Sunday, March 6th
1:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting an erratic driver in a 4 door Mazda, southbound on Neva Road from Ackley Street. Vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic erratically, and the driver was yelling at other drivers. The vehicle turned westbound on Mendlik Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
2:56 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kaplanek Avenue. Female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and open intoxicants.
1:54 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. Male driver was issued a citation for speed.
1:15 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Kelly Street and Neva Road. Male driver was given a warning for registration.
Saturday, March 5th
2:58 PM Officers received a report from an area business on Neva Road of a suspicious person there that morning between 9:45 & 10:15 AM. A male subject approximately in his late 20s, wearing a stocking cap, was at the ATM machines inside the store. He was taking money out of both machines at the same time. He had a wallet on the top of the ATM and then was trying different cards in the machine. The male then went to the cashier and bought a stack of scratch off tickets. He sat at the window counter and scratched off the tickets, then went to the cashier and bought more. He then went out to his vehicle. It was a dark green Subaru. The male sat in the vehicle scratching off more tickets. He then pulled out on to Neva Road and then into the parking lot of another area business on Neva Road. The male subject got out of the vehicle and went into that business.
9:07 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that a vehicle was completely blocking his driveway. Officers issued a parking citation. They then stopped at the Antigo Middle School and asked them to make an announcement for the owner to move the vehicle. The owner did move the vehicle.
Friday, March 4th
7:45 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that someone just hit her vehicle at an area business on Neva Road. No one was injured. The female did not see which way the truck that hit her vehicle went. Officers questioned some people with trucks in the parking lot. They were not involved.
4:08 PM A female reported at the Safety Building that her purse was stolen from her vehicle either on 4th Avenue or from a parking lot near Superior Street. It was a black purse with over $500 cash, vouchers, her driver’s license and receipts. Her car was running and she thought that she had locked it at both locations, but there was no sign of forced entry.
4:07 PM Officers responded to a report of a beige 1999 Olds 88 4 door car driving recklessly on Neva Road. The caller stated that the vehicle almost struck a couple of cars, when through the parking lots of two area business almost striking the caller’s vehicle and then went westbound on Amron Ave. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
12:45 PM Officers received a report of a male subject begging for money near Century Avenue and Neva Road. He had a sign that said homeless and hungry. He was stopping traffic and putting his hands inside cars.
Thursday, March 3rd
11:58 AM A male subject reported that he owns a rental property on 1st Avenue and someone who was staying with one of the tenants returned to get property by breaking in. There is damage and the owner wanted it documented.
10:40 PM Officers responded to several calls about an accident at 10th Avenue and Superior Street. Three vehicle accident. One subject declined medical transport. A state report was filed.
Wednesday, March 2nd
10:40 PM A female subject reported that she lost a book of her checks a few months ago, with four checks still in it. She had been watching her account and on 3/1/16 & 3/2/16 two of the checks came through her account. Officers are investigating.
8:25 AM A female subject reported that her cat had been missing since last night. It was an older female silver tabby with no collar. Female subject also called the Humane Society. Please call if located.
1:39 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 45. Subject was arrested on two Brown County and two Shawano county warrants.
Tuesday, March 1st
10:17 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Washington Avenue and Neva Road. Driver was issued a citation for speed.
5:20 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 64 & Hwy. 45. A state report was completed.
4:41PM A male subject reported at the Safety Building that he was involved in a minor accident at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. Officers completed a state report.
9:34 AM Officers responded to a report of a used needle on Dorr Street. Officers picked up the needle and disposed of it.
Monday, February 29th
11:26 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 45. Subject was arrested for operating after revocation.
5:24 PM A male subject reported at the Safety Building that someone walked past his vehicle while he was parked on Field Street, near 5th Avenue, and scratched the back of his vehicle, while he was sitting in it.
8:12 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Clermont Street reporting theft from vehicles and tool boxes.
