Richard (Dick) L Boettcher, 83
Richard L Boettcher, “Dick” of Antigo, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 83 years old. He was born on December 5, 1932 in Antigo, a son of Gust and Edna (Parsons) Boettcher. He married Irene Grabowsky on September 19, 1953 at Calvary Lutheran, Antigo. She survives.
He served in the United States Army from August 18, 1954 to August 3, 1956 having been stationed in Germany.
Mr. Boettcher worked as a truck driver for Kretz Lumber Company for 38 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and Badgerland Classic & Customs.
He enjoyed woodworking, crafts and golf cart rides with his little buddy Baxter.
Survivors including his wife are three daughters, Karen (Jeff) Reissmann, Aniwa, Kay (Ron) Weix, Aniwa, Amy (Tim) Keen, Antigo; a son Alan Boettcher, Antigo; a sister Christine (Ludwig) Bauer, Antigo; two grandchildren Kristopher and Joshua Weix.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Boettcher, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Weix.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Tews officiating. Antigo Veterans will conduct military rites following the services at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday all at the Bradley Funeral Home.
