Antigo auctioneer one final step from industry’s top designation

Kathy Packard is a short step away from earning the Certified Auctioneers Institute designation –
the auction profession’s premiere education program

The NAA, WAA and North Central Sales Auction LLC of Antigo, WI is very proud to announce that their very own auctioneer Kathy Packard, recently completed her second year of courses at the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI). The CAI program is the industry’s premier training program developed by the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) for auction professionals.

The three-year CAI designation program provides auction professionals the opportunity to earn the auction industry’s most respected professional designation. CAI is an intensive, executive development program offering professional auctioneers instruction and coursework in business management, ethics, communication, finance, strategic planning and marketing.

The NAA conducts CAI every year in March at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. CAI candidates join auction professionals from across the world to learn from some of the nation’s most distinguished and respected leaders in the auction industry. As of February 2016, there were approximately 900 current CAI designation holders in the world.

Kathy Packard is co-owner and one of the lead auctioneers of North Central Sales Auctions LLC of Antigo, Wisconsin.  She has over 18 years of experience in real estate – multi-par at auction, farms, business liquidation, benefit, personal property estate and high end collector’s auctions.  Active in the national and state auctioneer’s associations Kathy was the 2015 president, past president and director of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, bringing her innovative approach to the auction profession.

She has competed and represented the WAA in the International Auctioneers competition in Addison, Texas this past July. She is active in her community, raising large sums of money for various charities and schools.  In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and whitetail deer hunting with her husband Duke Packard. The couple have three children, Gary DuFour, Karlee Brock and Jennifer Packard.  Grandchildren Petra & Ezra DuFour (Lil’ Auctioneers in training).  A pioneer and voice of the industry, Kathy Packard is an auctioneer with integrity and passion who works to promote and further the professional auctioneering industry.
