Sharon Elaine Gauthier, 74
Sharon E. Gauthier, 74, Wittenberg, died on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her home under the care of her family and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
She was born on January 26, 1942 in Shawano, the daughter of the late Arnold and Jeanette (Holtz) Jahnke. On March 16, 2004, Sharon was united in marriage to Gary G. Gauthier in Shawano. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2015.
Sharon worked at Kraft Foods, Wausau, for 28 years retiring in 1996. She was a beautician and worked at the former Joan’s Beauty Bar, Wittenberg, for many years. Sharon and Gary were together for over 20 years and built many houses in the Wittenberg area. They enjoyed traveling to various locations and taking trips to different casinos throughout the country. Sharon was a kind and generous soul and a wonderful friend. She enjoyed shopping, the Green Bay Packers and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sharon especially enjoyed her family and her dog, Lucy, who will be laid to rest with her.
Sharon is survived by three children, Karon (Dan) Weisensel, David Kreitzer and Steve (Jamie) Kreitzer, all of Wittenberg; grandchildren, Amanda (Dan Gates) Roth, Claire (Jeff) Moenke, Kyle Holtz, Cody Kreitzer, Steven Kreitzer, Cassandra Kreitzer, Madelyn Diecher, Samantha Pember and Michael Weisensel; 6 Great-Grandchildren; twin sister, Karon (Ron) Martin, Green Bay; neice, Stacy (Tom) Torozalla and nephew, Scott Martin. Sharon is further survived by three step-children, Kathy (Jeff) Gwidt, Kristi (Tom) Blumerich and Sheryl (Matt) Sherrick; step-grandchildren, Greg (Brandi) Gwidt, Mindy (Josh) Danke, Eric (Rene) Doolittle, Kacey Blumerich, Alysa Blumerich and Carson, Brady and McKenzie Sherrick and her former husband, Warner Kreitzer, Wittenberg. In addition to her husband and parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Jahnke.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Amy Meyer will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Wittenberg. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9am until the time of service at the funeral home.
