Bessie Clark, 88
Bessie Clark passed away on May 24, 2016, surrounded by her family in Antigo, at the age of 88.
She was born on August 25, 1927 in Elton, Wisconsin to the late Lewis and Janie (Keaton) Adkins. In 1945, Bessie graduated from White Lake High School. On February 19, 1949, Bessie married Kermit Clark at First Baptist Church of Antigo. She was a homemaker and also worked as an election worker for the town of Evergreen, where she was a longtime resident. Bessie was a member of First Baptist Church of Antigo.
Survivors include three daughters, June (Larry) Bricco of Lake Villa, Illinois, Karen (Ken) Simon of South Dakota, and Leann (James) Muraski of Polar; one son, Scott (Sally) Clark of White Lake, two brothers, Glen Adkins of White Lake and Clifford Adkins of Milwaukee; a brother-in-law, Lyle Strasser of Antigo; a sister-in-law, Beverly Adkins of Manitowoc; a niece, Debbie (David) Stone of White Lake; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bessie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Sly; two sisters, Geneva Strasser and Elizabeth Powell; and two brothers, Rueben Adkins and William Adkins.
A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday also at the funeral home. Following the visitation on Saturday, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Bent Cemetery following the service.
