Culver’s Night May 16th 4-8pm Culvers, 2105 Neva Rd., Antigo. Enjoy a delicious meal, benefit a great cause and feel good all over. 10% of all sales benefit the Torch Club at the Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County. Torch Clubs are chartered, small group leadership & service clubs for boys & girls ages 11 to 13. Our Torch Club is currently fundraising for their year-end trip.
Monday Night Ladies Bike Ride May 16th 5:30-7:30pm Aspirus Langlade Hospital, 112 East 5th Avenue, Antigo. Want to ride bike with others? We may have a group for you! Please meet in the hospital parking lot “F” at 5:30 p.m. This is located behind St Joseph’s Annex, east of Langlade Road. There will be up to 3 groups with a 10-12 mile route & a 20-25 mile route. Tuesday Morning “Geezer” Rides May 17th 10am-Noon Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont Street, Antigo. Meet at the parking lot behind the Antigo Public Library and Dixie at 10 am. Healthy Living With Diabetes May 17th 5-7:30pm Calvary Lutheran Church, 310 South Superior St., Antigo. This program is designed to help adults with Type II diabetes or pre-diabetes learn skills and increase their confidence in managing their diabetes. Healthy Living with Diabetes does not replace existing treatments, but rather complements the treatments a participant receives. Suggested Contribution is $10. Enrollment is limited. McDougal’s Farm Greenhouse Opens May 20th-22nd 8:30am-5:30pm W10835 Bluebell Rd., Deerbrook. Just 8 minutes NW of Antigo. Their 2nd and last weekend open to the public. Filled with many earthy, mossy delights, hanging baskets & organically grown garden transplants & herbs, many of them heirloom. Many unique items. Good deals on selected remaining annuals.
Shawano High School Skills USA Car Show May 20th 9am – 1pm Shawano Community High School, 220 County Rd B, Shawano. Registration begins at 9am; Awards at approximately 12:30pm. Shawano pep band will be the entertainment & the Skills Club will be grilling burgers. Come join us and help get the millennials interested in cars, and raise some money for a great club!

Bear 100 Cycling Event May 21st 7am Laona. The cyclists enjoy a route through the Nicolet Natioal Forest with a variety of roads & trails. The course is about 100 miles with alternate courses of 100K & a 29 mile course. There are no prizes, everybody that rides wins! There is a $20 donation that is passed on to the Laona Rescue Squad. In turn, they will be out on the course, in case of an emergency and provide pre-race logistical support. T-Bob’s Sports Bar & Grill in Loana is hosting the event. Lumberjack Breakfast May 21st 7:30 -11:30am White Lake Community Center, 615 School Street, White Lake. The menu includes scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, side pork, pork sausages, flapjacks, donuts, coffee, milk and juice. Langlade County Humane Society Fundraising Auction May 21st 8am-10am Langlade County Humane Society, 2204 Clermont Street, Antigo. Langlade County Human Society is partnering with Country 106 WACD for a radio fundraising auction. Air time is from 8 to 10 am. They will be assisting the Humane Society in auctioning off/sell outright items businesses donate for this fundraiser. Money raised stays at the Langlade County Human Society. Items will be promoted on-air in advance of the radio fundraiser. The “Iron Mike” 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk May 21st 8am – 2pm Mike Webster Stadium Rhinelander High School, Coolidge Avenue, Rhinelander. The Iron Mike 5K is designed to honor the legacy Rhinelander native Mike Webster & his lifelong dedications to the game of football. This 5K will take place on an all-terrain course that starts in Mike Webster stadium, encompasses Rhinelander High School, and finishes on the track back at the stadium. The 5K will be held at 10am. On stage, Staines is an intimate, compelling performer, out of the folk scene of the 60’s, encouraging his audience to sing with him on his chorus songs.
