Congratulations to the 2016 AHS Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Class President

The Antigo Times would like to congratulate these standout students that have done and will do so much to make the Antigo community proud.
Megan Nedden – Valedictorian
Megan is attending UW-Madison next fall to study genetics and wants to use her degree to become a pediatrician or pediatric physician assistant. She was involved in volleyball, Spanish Club, National Honor Society, Key Club, Student Council, DECA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Art Club. Megan says her favorite memories include playing volleyball, cheering at hockey and football games in the student section, and school dances.
Alexis Schroeder – Salutatorian
Alexis also plans to attend UW-Madison this year, with an undecided major as yet. At AHS, she was also in volleyball, DECA (vice president), Student Council (president), Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Art Club, National Honors Society, Key Club (secretary), Spansih Club, and also Students Against Drunk Driving. Alexis says her favorite high school memory was homecoming week.
Mckenzy Powell – Senior Class President
Mckenzy will attend UW-River Falls this coming fall and is majoring in Crops and Soils Sciences. As a high school student, Mckenzy was in Student Council, Art Club (treasurer), FCCLA (president), SADD, Key Club, the Antigonian, Spanish Club, was the greenhouse manager and also a teacher’s assistant for Mr. Lewandowski. Mckenzy says her favorite AHS moment was being a senior.
The graduation ceremony for the Antigo High School’s Class of 2016 will be held on Sunday, May 29 at 2 p.m. in the Sheldon Fieldhouse.
