The Langlade County Area Diaper Bank is hosting their 1st Annual Diaper Drive starting Mother’s Day, May 8th until Father’s Day, June 19th. The group asking for disposable diaper donations to be dropped off at the CoVantage Credit Union Lobby, Lakeside Market or the Langlade County Health Department. They are also accepting monetary donation, which can be sent to the Langlade County Health Department, 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo.

The Diaper Bank provides diapers to area children in need offering both cloth and disposable diapers. One in three American families struggle to provide diapers for their babies.  It is not uncommon for some children to spend a day or longer in one diaper. This prolonged use is unsanitary and can lead to potential health risks (rashes, urinary tract infections, etc).

For more information, contact the Langlade County Health Department at 715-627-6381 and ask for Karen Marten, Diaper Bank Coordinator.
