Patrick Francis Carroll, 92, Eland, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Autumn Lane CBRF, Birnamwood.
He was born on February 10, 1924 in Birnamwood, the son of the late John and Mary (Cronin) Carroll.
Patrick was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was employed by Chicago Northwestern Railroad for many years until his retirement in 1986. Patrick loved to cut wood, enjoyed babysitting and liked telling stories.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Tammy (Rick) Parker, Eland; two grandsons, Steve Byrnes and Rick Parker; great-grandson, Patrick Byrnes; he also was dear uncle to Susan Carroll, Mary (Dennis) Ulander, Joan (Tom) Oligeny, Jim Steckbauer, Daniel (Lori) Steckbauer, Ann (Craig) Sheets, Jane (Wayne) Turner, Susan (Sidney) Hunter, William (Catalina) Steckbauer, Kenneth (Jill) Steckbauer, Dennis (Jennifer) Steckbauer, Thomas Steckbauer and Kathleen Ann Steckbauer.
Patrick was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffery Mueller; parents; brothers, William, Daniel, Jerry and John (Ruth) Carroll; sisters, Sister Mary John Baptist and Catherine (Kenneth) Steckbauer; a nephew, John Carroll and niece, Mary Carroll.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Fr. Anthony Ibekwe will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9AM until the time of service at the church.
