ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, May 23rd
3:07 AM A subject came to the Safety Building with a stray cat. Officers took the cat to the Humane Society.
10:07 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a stray cat inside the building. The caller requested help from the officers to catch the cat. Officers caught the kitten and took it to the Humane Society.
1:20 PM Officers received a complaint of speeding in the alleyway south of 5th Avenue between Dorr Street and Lincoln Street. The caller knew the owner of one vehicle, but stated that many other vehicles speed in the area also and there are a lot of kids in the area.
2:27 PM Officers received a report from the city of Antigo Parks and Rec Department that they discovered graffiti on a park bench in Peaceful Valley Park. They told officers that they will be checking their video to see if anything can be seen. They also reported that another fire was attempted on a bench at the Rockin Robin playground.
Tuesday, May 24th
1:03 AM Officers responded to a report of a male subject on Charlotte Court shooting a b.b. gun or an air soft gun. He seemed to be intoxicated. Officers determined that the subject was somewhat cognitively disabled and also had been drinking. The male subject was given a stern warning. He agreed to settle down and go to bed.
5:53 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The driver was cited for speed.
6:07 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and Martin Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten their seatbelt and a warning for an expired registration.
3:06 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that a woman struck a stop sign with her car, and the sign was wedged underneath the car. It caused damage to the oil pan of the vehicle. The female driver stated that she was watching for pedestrians.
Wednesday, May 25th
1:20 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 5th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
5:44 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
6:12 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and Century Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
2:45 PM Officers received a call from a female subject on Edison Street reporting that a male subject in a home directly across the street pulled a gun on her, her room-mate and her dog. He threatened to shoot the dog and them after the caller’s dog went after his dog.
2:46 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that while visiting his sister on Edison Street, he had his dog tied to a leash outside when her neighbor’s dog came over and started attacking his dog. The dog was very large and he pulled a gun in self-defense. The neighbors came and got their dog. He stated that he had a concealed carry permit and his gun was now holstered. The neighbors had also called to report the incident. The male subject said that he would have shot the dog, but he said that he never threatened anyone. Officers felt he was honest and there was no way to prove that he threatened anyone.
3:18 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting problems with speeders on Forrest Avenue violating the 35 mph zone. The caller stated that a vehicle just went by going approximately 70 mph. The male caller requested that an officer run radar in the area at various times to help slow down the traffic.
Thursday, May 26th
5:46 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Langlade Road and Flight Road. The driver was issued a citation for speed.
6:38 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Edison Street and Mendlik Street. The driver was issued a written warning for registration.
7:30 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at the corner of 8th Avenue and Superior Street. Property damage only. A voluntary report was filed.
8:50 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Mary Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
9:05 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Mary Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
3:49 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:09 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Neva Road. The driver was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Neva Road. The driver was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:56 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Lincoln Street. The driver was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt.
6:39 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for failure to fasten seatbelt.
7:12 PM Officers responded to a report of three people fighting on 5th Avenue. Officers warned all parties involved.
7:54 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 9th Avenue and Deleglise Street. The driver was issued a citation for speed.
Friday, May 27th
2:39 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on 9th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:56 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and 1st Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for expired registration and an expired driver’s license.
6:13 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
7:24 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Milton Street reporting that they have received more damage to their property. A camera was missing from the west side of the building. Officers found two sets of shoe prints. Pictures were taken of the damage. A photo of a younger boy with a backpack was obtained from a security camera. Some suspects were questioned by officers. Two subjects admitted to being on the property several weeks ago, but not on May 26th.
10:45 AM Officers responded to an accident near an area business on Hwy. 64. Property damage only. A heavy wood splitter fell out of the back of a truck. A wrecker was called to load it back up.
12:48 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Irving Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
3:00 PM Officers received a report of a small blue vehicle going through a stop sign at 1st Avenue and Western Avenue going about 60 mph, heading northbound at 9:50 AM, and then a short time later, it came back again going southbound going through the stop sign again. At the time, a white convertible on 1st Avenue stopped when they saw the vehicle coming. If the vehicle had not stopped, there would have been an accident.
5:16 PM Officers responded to call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that a female subject fainted and hit her head on a register while at the business. Officers arrested the female subject for operating while intoxicated.
Saturday, May 28th
7:27 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Washington Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt and was given a warning for speed.
7:56 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Badger Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
8:08 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
12:36 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting finding a needle on Lincoln Street. Officers picked up the needle and placed it in a Sharps container.
5:25 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:35 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:39 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:43 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Dorr Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
5:54 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. The driver and passenger were issued citations for failure to fasten their seatbelts.
5:59 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 2nd Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
6:07 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Farwell Avenue. The driver and passenger were issued citations for failure to fasten their seatbelts.
6:19 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 6th Avenue and Dorr Street. The driver was cited for operating while suspended.
6:25 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 6th Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
6:36 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Badger Avenue and N. Superior Street. The driver was issued a citation for operating while suspended and for failure to wear a seatbelt.
6:56 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 6th Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
7:02 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 2nd Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
7:14 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.

8:03 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
8:19 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Maple Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
8:20 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 2nd Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
8:41 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 2nd Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for operating without a license and given a written warning for speed.
9:10 PM Officers responded to a call from subject reporting a maroon Trailblazer westbound on Hwy. 64 crossing the centerline, varying speeds and braking. The vehicle turned south on to Langlade Road and continued into town, then southbound on Hwy 45, then west on 7th Avenue. Officers warned the driver about their driving habits.
9:12 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Dorr Street reporting that her neighbor was shooting off some sort of fireworks and they hit her house. The caller said that the house was hit twice, but she did not believe that it was damaged. She wanted officers to talk to the neighbors. Officers then received a second complaint about the noise. Officers warned the subjects about the fireworks. They said that they would stop for the night.
Sunday, May 29th
12:16 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
12:32 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
1:51 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 9th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
2:24 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Morse Street reporting that he just got home and found his house doors open, his inside lights on and his motion lights on. He wanted officers to check his house before he entered. Officers cleared the house. Nothing was missing.
2:41 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Graham Avenue. The driver was given a 10 day written warning for expired registration and a citation for failure to fasten seatbelt.
11:28 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that she found a little dog on the corner of 5th Avenue and Pine Street. Officers took the dog to the Humane Society.
11:41 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Willard Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 4th offense.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Tuesday, May 24th
6:51 AM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover on Hwy. 55 just south of the Forest/Langlade county line. One female was trapped in the vehicle. She was conscious. A towing company was notified.
1:02 PM Officers received a call from a female subject on Deer Trail in White Lake reporting that a male subject came to her house and walked up her steps. He tried to hand her a menu. He reeked of alcohol. She told the male subject that it was illegal for him to do that. He told her that he was from Wausau and that is “how we do it.” He was in a white van, possibly a Chevy, with “Good Times” on the side with a phone number with a 715 area code. Officers were advised.
Wednesday, May 25th
10:53 AM Officers responded to a report from a female who had pulled over on side of the road on Co. Rd. A, south of Cty. Rd. TT because of a white Dodge truck that was behind her. She was scared due to their driving. The vehicle was all over the road. The truck had dents in it. The female driver was cited for inattentive driving and failure to report an accident.
12:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a white 2006 Dodge Dakota truck was in the opposite lane of travel on Cty. Road A, northbound from Cty. Rd. TT. The female driver was cited twice for inattentive driving.
1:14 PM While investigating two traffic complaints, officers learned that the female driver in the two previous complaints struck a pole on Cty. Rd. DD. The female subject also struck the Hwy. 55/DD sign. The highway department was notified. The female driver was cited for inattentive driving and failure to report an accident. A state accident report was filed.
11:43 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Enterprise Lake Road reporting that she and her husband saw a male subject, possibly a teen near their house. The subject appeared to have a dim flashlight. The male subject started walking west on Enterprise Lake Road. The caller’s husband got in a car and tried to locate the subject. He was unable to. Officers were unable to find any footprints around the house. The female caller was advised to lock the doors and call back if they saw anything suspicious.
Friday, May 27th
9:09 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Cty Rd T reporting that his garage and cabin were broken into. The caller was from Minnesota and was last at the cabin on May 8th. It appeared that someone used a crowbar to enter the garage. Officers received a list of items taken. There are no suspects.
Saturday, May 28th
2:41 PM Officers responded to a report of a green Suburban that was driving southbound on St. Hwy. 45 just past Cty. Hwy. J that was crossing both the fog line and centerline. The vehicle then did a U-turn and traveled northbound, pulling over on Hwy. 45 at Mark Lane. The driver of the vehicle was identified. Officers talked with the driver’s mother. She told officers that she would find him and warn him about his driving.
Sunday, May 29th
5:23 PM Officers responded to a request for assistance at the Post Lake dam for a male subject that was being detained. The male subject from Milwaukee was arrested for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
7:52 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject at a campground on Cty. Rd. Z in Post Lake who reported he was being attacked and there was a man with an ax after him. He said that he was all bloody. The caller also claimed that the attackers had guns and had attacked an older couple as well. Officers arrested two men from Green Bay. The male subjects had punched and choked the caller numerous times. One subject hit the caller on the head with a rock. The two subjects then had assaulted several others at the campground.
