Ayden Pennington, 3
Ayden Pennington, of Antigo, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was born on June 17, 2012 in Antigo, a son of Anthony “Tony” and Tiffany (Kakes) Pennington.
He lived with cerebral palsy but that did not prevent Ayden from having an amazing smile and an infectious giggle. He was a handsome young man that was loved by many.
Ayden was fortunate to participate with the Make a Wish Foundation, his wish was granted in December when he received his golden doodle, Harley. Harley watched over Ayden and brought him comfort and joy.
He loved to be with family, the outdoors, bright lights and listening to music with his sister while she sang and danced.
In addition to his parents he will be deeply missed by a sister, Ava Kakes; maternal grandparents, Hank and Nancy Kakes of Bryant; paternal grandparents, Pete and Yvonne Pennington of Antigo; aunts and uncles, Heather Kakes, Cody Kakes, Kimberly (Victor) Fons, Shawn (Andrea) Pennington and Travis (Jenni) Pennington; two great-grandmothers, Virginia Rettinger and Helen Kakes; and great-grandfather, Adrian Leiterman. He is also survived by many cousins, great aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Eugene and Hope Pennington, Alvin Rettinger, Barbara Leiterman, and Carl J. Kakes.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
