7th Annual Boys & Girls Club Sizzlin Summer Camp June 6th-August 19th Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County, 411 Superior St., Antigo. This eleven week youth development camp will keep your kids busy and having fun all summer. Every week, members can go on fun and exciting field trips. We provide age-appropriate programs in the arts, sports, fitness & recreation, character & leadership development, education & career development, and health & life skills. Camp fee includes your child’s annual membership, breakfast, lunch & afternoon snacks daily, weekly field trips, a camp t-shirt & sling bag, and youth professionals. Monday Night Ladies Bike Ride June 6th 5:30-7:30pm Aspirus Langlade Hospital, 112 East 5th Avenue, Antigo. Want to ride bike with others? We may have a group for you! Please meet in the hospital parking lot “F” at 5:30 p.m. This is located behind St Joseph’s Annex, east of Langlade Road. There will be up to 3 groups with a 10-12 mile route & a 20-25 mile route. Healthy Living With Diabetes June 7th 5-7:30pm Calvary Lutheran Church, 310 South Superior St., Antigo. This program is designed to help adults with Type II diabetes or pre-diabetes learn skills and increase their confidence in managing their diabetes. Healthy Living with Diabetes does not replace existing treatments, but rather complements the treatments a participant receives. Suggested Contribution is $10. Enrollment is limited. Tuesday Night Running Club June 7th 5:15-6pm Aspirus Hospital, 112 East Fifth Ave., Antigo. Tuesday Run Club will be meeting every Tuesday at Health & Performance Center (Aspirus Hospital) at 5:15pm for a run. The running club is intended to be an opportunity to run with others. It is not a competitive event – just an opportunity to meet people that like to do the same thing as you – Get Outside & Run! We will run 3-4 miles. Northwoods Paddlin’ Shootout June 10-12th 11am-6pm Fri., Noon-6pm Sat., Noon-4pm Sun. Sawbucks BBQ Restaurant, Hwy. 32, Townsend. The Shootout will feature 5 paddle sports races on a ½ mile closed course around 4 turns. Participants in kayak singles, pro kayak singles, kayak doubles, canoe doubles and paddleboard singles will challenge the course & each other during the 3 day event.
