Evelyn Howard, of Mesa, Arizona died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Mesa. She was 99 years old. She was born on September 10, 1916 in Phlox, a daughter of David and Leona (Pace) Bissonette. She was married to Matthew Baumgartner, he preceded her in death. In 1960 she married Hubert Howard. He preceded her in death in 1976.

She was born and raised in Phlox. She moved to Milwaukee where she worked at Briggs and Stratton. Evelyn has lived in Arizona since 1945 and spent her summers in Phlox. She worked as a massage therapist in Arizona.

She was a member of St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox and Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa.

Survivors include sister in law, Wilma Bissonette, Phlox; nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; a sister Virginia Fobes; two brothers, Harold and Gerald Bissonette; three stepsons Hubert, Dr. John and Charles Howard.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the church.
