Langlade County Junior “A” League action from this past week

Monday, June 13

The 3-0 Antigo Dugout Club White team took it to the Polar club in a 24-9 win on Monday evening.

Dane Cornelius and Alex Fritsch were perfect at the plate, each going 3-3 on the night. Fritsch’s outing included a double and triple with four runs scored.

Nevin Cornelius was 2-3 with two runs while Dakota Matuszewski was 3-4 with three runs scored on the Polar team. Fritsch and N. Cornelius also dominated on the mound, combining for four innings pitched, 11 strikeouts, and three total hits.

Jared McFarlane and Noah Samolinski were both 3-4 for the Polar, including three runs scored for the former. Kyle Schedlbauer and Jeff Hoefts each finished 1-3 with a double apiece.

 

Wednesday, June 8

The ADC White ball club picked up its second win of the season over the White Lake Pirates 24-3. N. Cornelius was the 1.000 hitter for the White club that evening, going 4-4 with a string of extra base hits, including two triples and a pair of doubles.

Fritsch and Musolff were each 3-4 and added five additional runs combined. D. Cornelius, Brett Farmer, and Brett Witman each had 2-3 days at the plate.

Stats and names were not provided on behalf of the White Lake team for this game.

 

Monday, June 6

The season opener for the ADC White team saw the boys defeat the ADC Maroon club 17-5 in six innings played.

Musolff pounded the small ball, hitting three singles on his way to a 3-4 night. D. Cornelius and Brett Witman provided the extra bases as each went 2-3, including a triple for the former and two doubles for the latter.

Kaden Steckbauer was 2-3 for the Maroon team, while Tyler Schroepfer, Noah Musolff, and Caleb Kautza each recorded a hit.

Sam Huess lasted three innings for the White team on the mound, allowing five runs on four hits with one strikeout. C. Musolff and D. Cornelius combined for the remainder of the pitching staff, combining for zero runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
