Mike W. Taylor, 68

Mike W. Taylor “T-Bone” of Antigo, passed away to his eternal home on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 68 years old. He was born on June 13, 1948 in Antigo, a son of the late Myron and Thelma (Boettcher) Taylor. He married Jeri Evanson on July 15, 1977 in Antigo. She survives.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1966. He also received an associate’s degree in welding and fabrication from North Central Technical College in Antigo.

Mike held general labor positions throughout the community including Schultz’s Creamery, Johnson Coil, Antigo Feed Store and Floors by Us.

As a member of Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church he served as a councilman and an elder.

As an avid outdoorsman, Mike had a passion for fishing and hunting that he shared with his family. He fished Antigo Lake his whole life and enjoyed helping and teaching area children to catch fish. Mike will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for the many stories he told of his life adventures.

Survivors including his wife are three daughters, Tiffani (Adrian) Smith of Appleton, Cari Seis (Shane Gibbs) of Deerbrook, Becki (James) Osmus of Appleton, as well as the niece he raised as a daughter, Michele Biggerstaff (Brian Meidl) of Antigo; seven grandchildren, Darian (Mathew) Gibbs, Emma Smith, Jedd Smith, Austin Seis Evelyn Osmus, Brayden Osmus and Joshua Taft; a sister, Penny Perry (Tim Deede) of Antigo and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Steven Smith; and a sister, Judy Raduechel.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 11 a.m. at Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Spaude officiating. Visitation will be Friday, July 1st from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the church.
