Virginia Eileen Robinson, 81
Virginia Eileen Robinson passed away at her home on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the age of 81 under the care of her family.
She was born on April 29, 1935 in White Lake to the late Arlie and Ethel (Maddix) Messer. On November 22, 1952, Virginia married Ralph W. Robinson at The Church of God in the Town of Evergreen. Ralph preceded her in death on January 26, 2012.
Mrs. Robinson was a teacher’s aide at Crestwood School for the past 8 years, where she was known as “Grandma Ginny”. She also was a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, in home day care provider, foster mother for 54 children including medically needy babies, certified nursing assistant, seamstress, and mink skinner. She enjoyed gardening and decorating, and had a great passion for photography.
She was a member of Faith Center Church of God.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Kathy Messer of Antigo, June Hoddel of Lily, and Ellen (Harlan) Lewis of Antigo; 2 sons, Jim Robinson of Elton and Jeff (Jeanne) Robinson of Antigo; 19 grandchildren and their families: granddaughter Katrina Straw and her children, Samantha (Chadd) Nelson with son Jace, Paul (Josie) Straw with their daughter Parker, Natalie Dewey, and Shantel Dewey; granddaughter Angelina (Rick) Schlieve and their children, Andy and Megan Schlieve; grandson Ben (Kathy Doser) Schlieve and their children, John, Logan, Alex, Samara, and Kaleb Schlieve; granddaughter Sarina (Isaac) McCoy; granddaughter Erin Rustick; granddaughter Liz (JJ) Fay and their children, Ryan and Cassie; granddaughter Becky Hoddel; granddaughter Elly (Darrin) Hoddel; grandson William (Vera) Robinson and their children Cheyenne, Carmen, and River; grandson Robert Robinson; grandson Michael Robinson; grandson Clayton Richter; grandson Jesse (Liza) Lewis and their children, Dylan, Brianna, Ryder, and Emmy Lou; granddaughter Ginny (Curtis) Draeger and their children Maddy, Deegan, and Dusty; grandson Kyle (Nicole) Lewis and their children Parker and Rhys; granddaughter Beth (Joe) Dykstra and their children Cody, Taylor, and Brandon; granddaughter Tanya (Jon) Eckert and their children, Evan, Robbie, Noah, Josh, and Jaxon; granddaughter Brandy (Conrad Waldner) Robinson and their daughter Athena; and grandson Jordon Tucker; 7 siblings, Leroy (Lois) Messer of White Lake, Carl (Geneva) Messer of Deerbrook, Betsy (Irvin) Pranke of White Lake, Janie (Busy) Holbrook of White Lake, Judy (John) Rinholen of Eau Claire, Paulette (Roger) Dallman of Mondovi, and Bentley (Diane) Messer of Rapid City, SD.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Arlette Puls; son Kenny Robinson; grandson Dennis Richter; granddaughter, Rachel Hoddel; great granddaughter, Kaylee Ann Dewey; and 2 siblings, Arlene and Richard Messer.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 on Friday at Faith Center Church of God with Bishop Andy Wallace officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 Friday at the church. Interment will follow the service at Elton Cemetery.
