Joseph Fleischman, 70
Joseph Fleischman, of Antigo, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his home. He was 70 years old. He was born on February 15, 1946 in Antigo, a son of George and Celia (Stieber) Fleischman. He married Bonnie Paff on July 9, 1977 at St. John Catholic Church. She survives.
At age 21 he purchased the family farm from his father. He operated the farm for the past 49 years, most recently with his son Chad and son-in-law Bob.
He enjoyed drinking cold beer, hunting, trapping, riding his 1950 Harley, the Wednesday night break room group, and the Western channel.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.
Survivors including his wife are five daughters, Amanda (Josh) Walker, Antigo, Mary Jo (Bob) VerHagen, Antigo, Kelli (Trent) Unsinn, Bryant, Kerri (John) Remington, Antigo, Emmy Lou Fleischman and Mike Krueger, Antigo; a son, Chad “Bugs” (Kimberly) Fleischman, Antigo; 10 grandchildren Hayden and Hannah Walker, Kadance, Joseph and Ryder Fleischman, Rory and Oliver VerHagen, Ann Marie, Penny Lane and Boone Remington; three brothers, Roman and Richard Fleischman, George (Rosemary) Fleischman JR. all of Antigo; a sister-in-law Luella Adamski; and Boots the beagle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jerome Fleischman, two sisters-in-law, Caroline and Connie Fleischman.
The funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 11th at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 10th at the Bradley Funeral Home and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 11th at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday also at the funeral home.
