Community Day Camp at Camp Susan July 11th 9am-4pm Camp Susan 4-H Camp, 8890 County Rd B, Deerbrook. Summer camp is an excellent opportunity for youth to make new friends, get re-acquainted with old friends, continue learning over the summer and have fun! Types of activities include: swimming & boating, games, arts & crafts, nature education, hiking, grilling out, campfire songs & much more. This day camp is open to all youth in grades K to 6th. Monday Night Ladies Bike Ride July 11th 5:30-7:30pm Aspirus Langlade Hospital, 112 East 5th Avenue, Antigo. Want to ride bike with others? We may have a group for you! Youth Tennis Program-Free 6 day Tennis Course July 12th-14th & 19th-21st 5-6pm Elleson Tennis Courts, 1725 10th Avenue, Antigo. Don’t miss an opportunity to learn the life-time sport of tennis. Instructed by Antigo Tennis for Life members, youth will learn tennis fundamentals, have fun, and learn skills relative to their abilities. This is a free course for ages 7-12. Participants must provide the following equipment: a good pair of tennis shoes & a tennis racquet. Antigo Tennis for Life Club will provide tennis balls. Annual Gem & Mineral Show July 15th-16th Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 9am-5pm. Lakeland Union High School, 9573 State Hwy 70, Minocqua. Free admission. This 2 day show has over 35 dealers of jewelry, gems, agates, crystals, fossils, artifacts, wire wrappers, metal detectors, & many other items. 7th Annual Bear Cupboard Run & Half Marathon July 16th 7:30 am Bus leaves Torpy Park at 6:30 am. Torpy Park, Downtown, Minocqua. Half Marathon participants will be shuttled from Torpy Park to starting point on Bearskin Trail south of Minocqua near Goodnow. 5K runners will start at Torpy Park & run on Bearskin Trail. Cubbies will start at Bearskin Trail head adjacent to Torpy Park. The half marathon & 5K are chip timed runs, while the 5K Walk & 1K Cubby Run are untimed.
