Alfred N. Carlson, 63, Birnamwood, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital, Antigo.
He was born on September 21, 1952 in Birnamwood, the son of the late Victor and Mable (Matzke) Carlson.
Alfred farmed in the town of Birnamwood his whole life. He was a quiet, gentle and hardworking man. Alfred loved animals and spending time with his nephews, great-nephews and great-niece.
Survivors include one brother, John (Phyllis) Carlson, Birnamwood; three nephews, Jeremy (special friend, Kristine) Carlson, Jason (Heather) Carlson and Jordan (special friend, Kassandra) Carlson; great-nephews and great-niece, Cordell, Austin, Jaxson, Carissa and Aidan; his aunt, Gertrude Matzke and uncle, Norman “Doc” Matzke.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by one nephew, John Phillip Carlson.
The Funeral Service will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Rev. Adam Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3pm until the time of services at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
