Merrill Lion’s Car Show September 5th 8am-4pm Merrill Festival Grounds, 301 N. Sales St., Merrill. The Merrill Lions Club will be holding their annual car show at the fairgrounds. Return down memory lane as these vehicles bring back the yesteryears. Along with the car show, there will be a flea market, food, entertainment, & much more. Registration begins at 8am. Merrill Labor Day Parade September 5th 10am S. Genesee St., Merrill. Join the City of Merrill as we hold our Annual Labor Day Parade. We will give thanks to all veterans who have served for the USA. Tuesday Night Running Club September 6th 5:15-6pm Aspirus Hospital, 112 East Fifth Ave., Antigo. Tuesday Run Club will be meeting every Tuesday at Health & Performance Center (Aspirus Hospital) at 5:15pm for a run. The running club is intended to be an opportunity to run with others. It is not a competitive event – just an opportunity to meet people that like to do the same thing as you – Get Outside & Run! We will run 3-4 miles. Play & Learn September 8th 9:30-11am Antigo Community Church – Room #2, 723 Deleglise Street, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents and children to do together. The activity will build skills for school readiness and milestone achievement. Central Wisconsin River Series Bass Championship September 9th-11th All day. Rhinelander Flowage, Rhinelander. The top teams from the 2016 Central Wisconsin River Series will compete in a 2-day shoot-out for top cash & prizes. 35 teams will go head to head to decide the Championship team! Championship payout will include 100% payback of $150.00 entry fee of each team. Added to that total will be the held over amounts from each qualifying tournament during the season. Payout at Championship will be for top 11 places after two days of competition. (1-9 Cash Payout, 10 & 11 Prize Awards) There will be one (1) big bass payout each day for the 2-day championship. If all teams participate in big bass side pot, each day’s cash award will be $340 – over all big bass of weekend will win a separate prize package. The Wolfman Triathlon September 10th 8am-3pm Bear Paw Outdoor Adventure Resort, N3494 State Road 55, White Lake. Point-to-point off-road triathlon, begins with a 3-mile paddle down a class II section of the Wolf River; then mountain bike for 13 miles of scenic logging roads & single track in the Northwoods. After crossing the Wolf River, bike the 3-mile trail run portion. Then run 3.5 miles along the Wolf River. Race is limited to first 250 entrants.
