Mary Margaret Kulas, 66

Mary M. Kulas, 66, Galloway, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born on September 30, 1949 in Gresham, the daughter of the late Reynold and Margaret (Marx) Schmidt.
On July 8, 1972, Mary was united in marriage to James Kulas in Gresham. He survives. After graduating college, Mary taught school at the Galloway School for the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District. She then taught at St. Paul Catholic School in Mosinee for 27 years, until her retirement. Mary was a very active member at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. She also served as the Clerk in the Town of Franzen for over 40 years. Mary enjoyed reading, baking and canning, but most of all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, James Kulas, Galloway; one daughter, Jennifer (James) Brown, Kasson, MN; six sons, Michael Kulas, Boca Raton, FL, Jonathon (Melanie) Kulas, Galloway, Peter (Dana) Kulas, Wausau, Christopher (Dana) Kulas, Wittenberg, Joseph (Pamela) Kulas, St. Michael, MN and Robert Kulas, Galloway and 12 grandchildren, Dylan, Carson, James, Korbin, Paylin, Kastin, Elise, Jackson, Landon, Malayna, Grady and Verena. She is also survived by her brother, Fr. David Schmidt, Antigo, her father-in-law, Harry Kulas, Galloway and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Evelyn Kulas and brother-in-law, Jeff Kulas.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Fr. Augustine Bentil and Fr. David Schmidt will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4pm until 8pm and on Saturday from 9am until the time of services at the church. There will be a Rosary Service at 7:30pm on Friday at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
